What is the "Design - Build System"?

The Design-Build System is based on our experience on hundreds of major construction projects. This system incorporates many of the building principals of the Vancouver Island Construction Association.

It has been our experience that many homeowners approach a designer, architect or builder as a first step in a construction project. Yet, this is where many of the problems begin.

When planning a major construction project or addition, there are many things to consider.

Cost overruns and misunderstandings result from a builder quoting a homeowner a price without blueprints to base a price on. Furthermore, an architect or designer may develop an expensive set of blueprints that do not fit the budget of the homeowner. This in turn, results in many costly revisions before a budget can be met.

Here at Horizon Pacific Contracting we do things a little differently. The Design-Build System takes into account almost every foreseeable problem before you commit yourself to blueprints or builder's contracts.
